|Where Did We Come From?
Bowling Green Electronics has been in operation since 1984. The company started as a full-time electronics repair shop, and from there went into satellite dish sales, installation, and repair. Since 1988 the business has been run part-time while it's owner was working as an electronics supervisor for the local theme park in Doswell, Virginia. With a growing desire to expand our horizons, we decided to fast forward Caroline County, Virginia into cyberspace, or as some of our users have expressed, bring us all up to the twentieth century! Bowling Green Electronics is a family business, owned and operated by Jan and Frank Beale along with their FIVE children!! Special thanks go to Michael Vossberg, Jay Jensen and their families of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Without their help none of this would have been possible.
In June of 1996 Bealenet went online bringing the world a lot closer to the rural areas of Caroline County. Less than a year later we expanded bringing King William, King and Queen, Dawn and Doswell it's first local access to the world. Since May 1st, 1997, Bealenet has been our full time occupation.
Today Bealenet has grown from it's original 20 phone lines and a single Linux server to over 100 phone lines and 8 Linux servers, that make it possible for us to offer reliable Internet access to families and businesses all over central Virginia. All of Bealenet's POPS are backed up with emergency backup batteries or generators to insure that your access is available every hour of every day.
